Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison

About the book...

A fiery temper is not easily extinguished… Half-human and half-Wyr, Pia Giovanni spent her life keeping a low profile among the Wyrkind and avoiding the continuing conflict between them and their Dark Fae enemies. But after being blackmailed into stealing a coin from the hoard of a dragon, Pia finds herself targeted by one of the most powerful–and passionate—of the Elder Races. As the most feared and respected of the Wyrkind, Dragos Cuelebre cannot believe someone had the audacity to steal from him, much less succeed. And when he catches the thief, Dragos spares her life, claiming her as his own to further explore the desire they’ve ignited in one another. – Author Website

TLG Review

Pia has the worst luck with men. The book starts with a blackmailing ex-boyfriend forcing her to steal from the most powerful creature in existence. Because her sense of fairness is real, she steals a penny from the dragon’s hoard, and leaves a penny in its place. Then ran like hell when the dragon woke.

I had more fun with this book than I have in a long time. There is an innocence in Dragos as he tries to navigate the interloping female who crashed into his world. She stands up to him where others have cowered. Her life is constantly in danger as people in the supernatural world try to use her as a pawn to get to Dragos.

My only complaint is that the story ended. I don’t always agree with Pia’s passive nature, but I smile and cheer for her strengths. This book is recommended to everyone who enjoys a hot love story that involves dragons, and a whole world of supernatural chaos to get involved in.
